ERGO TOP represents active, dynamic sitting that keeps your muscles engaged through the continuous balancing of the body’s center of gravity. This technology, developed in close collaboration with the Technical University of Munich, combines the benefits of an exercise ball with ergonomic support.
Featuring a 360° movable seat with adjustable seat depth, ERGO TOP promotes natural movements and supports an upright sitting posture. Whether leaning forward, turning, or reaching – the seat adapts flexibly and perfectly complements the passive synchro-mechanism of the chairs.
Initially used in the stool series “Ergo & Friends,” ERGO TOP is now a central feature of all Löffler swivel chairs. Through scientifically grounded occupational physiology, this innovation helps strengthen the back and muscles, overcome rigid sitting habits, and promote long-term health.
Armrests are an essential component of an ergonomic office swivel chair. Therefore, all swivel chairs in our online shop are equipped with the same multifunctional armrests (Type 2, with Softpad PU plastic, armrest without cover). These not only offer height and width adjustments but also additional customization options: The armrest pad can be moved forward and backward in 20-mm increments and swiveled 15° to the left or right. This allows the armrests to be perfectly adjusted to individual needs, ensuring maximum comfort and support.
If needed, the chair can also be configured without armrests, which is particularly advantageous in areas with limited space or specific work requirements.
Individually customizable features for optimal seating comfort:
Lean-back pressure 45-120 kg: The synchro-mechanism adjusts the reclining force to the user’s body weight, enabling dynamic sitting with minimal effort. At the same time, it ensures optimal support.
Backrest locking: The backrest is adjustable between 80° and 125° and can be locked in five positions. This allows for various seating postures and effectively relieves spinal pressure.
Additional lumbar support: Most models offer a lumbar support that aids the lower back and encourages an ergonomic sitting posture. This feature perfectly complements the support provided by the backrest.
All office chairs come equipped with a high-quality gas lift that allows precise height adjustment of up to 11 cm. This feature makes it easy to adapt the seat height flexibly, ensuring an ergonomic sitting posture and maximum comfort. It is ideal for individuals with a height between 150 cm and 190 cm, providing comfortable adjustments for various work environments and needs.
Advanced Options for Specific Requirements
For individuals outside the standard size range, special gas lifts are available that offer even greater or lower seat heights. This ensures that even particularly small or tall users can sit ergonomically correct. Combined with other adjustment features, such as the synchronous mechanism or adjustable armrests, the seat height adjustment ensures perfect integration into any work environment and optimal support during long periods of sitting.
For all products purchased since January 1, 2015, we offer a 30-year warranty on the mechanics and a 10-year warranty on the fabrics at no additional cost. This warranty underscores our confidence in the high quality and durability of our products.
The warranty is valid only upon presentation of the original receipt. Upholstery materials are excluded from the 30-year warranty as they are subject to a natural aging process and are considered separately. In the factory in Hersbruck, in the heart of Germany, seating furniture is created across approximately 2,200 square meters, representing the highest quality and sustainability. About 40 experienced professionals from the Löffler team upholster, sew, and assemble each piece of furniture with precision and passion.
The materials used, such as foams, are free from CFCs and HCFCs, the plastics are non-toxic, and the wood comes from sustainable European forestry. The high-quality leather is sourced only from German farms, with a focus on short transportation distances and the highest standards.
This commitment to sustainability is also evident in the recyclability of the furniture: up to 97% of the materials used can be recycled.
