ERGO TOP stands for active, dynamic sitting that keeps the muscles in motion through the continuous balancing of the body’s center of gravity. This technology, developed in close collaboration with the Technical University of Munich, combines the benefits of a gym ball with ergonomic support.
With a 360° movable seat surface featuring seat depth adjustment, ERGO TOP promotes natural movements and supports an upright sitting posture. Whether leaning forward, turning, or reaching – the seat surface flexibly adapts and perfectly complements the passive synchro-mechanism of the chairs.
First used in the stool series “Ergo & Friends,” ERGO TOP is now a central feature of all Löffler swivel chairs. This innovation, based on scientifically grounded work physiology, helps strengthen the back and muscles, overcome rigid sitting habits, and promote long-term health.
Armrests are an essential component of an ergonomic office swivel chair. Therefore, all swivel chairs in our online shop are equipped with multifunctional armrests (Type 2, without arm padding). These not only offer height and width adjustments but also additional customization options: The armrest pad can be moved forward and backward in 20-mm increments and can be swiveled 15° to the left or right. This allows the armrests to be optimally adjusted to individual needs, ensuring maximum comfort and support.
If needed, the chair can also be configured without armrests, which is particularly advantageous in areas with limited space or for specific work requirements.
The orthopedic office chair with a kyphosis backrest was specifically designed for individuals with spinal curvatures such as scoliosis. A vertical, discreetly hidden recess in the foam of the backrest reduces pressure on the spine and provides the necessary space for optimal pressure relief.
The kyphosis backrest ensures ergonomic support and promotes high seating comfort. Available with 2 cm cold foam or optionally viscoelastic memory foam, the chair combines functionality with an elegant design.
Individually adjustable features for optimal seating comfort:
Backrest pressure 45-120 kg: The synchronous mechanism adjusts the counterpressure individually to the body weight, enabling dynamic sitting without much effort. At the same time, it ensures optimal support.
Backrest locking: The backrest is tiltable between 80° and 125° and can be locked in five positions. This allows for different sitting postures and effectively relieves the spine.
Additional lumbar support: For most models, a lumbar support is available that supports the lower back and promotes an ergonomic sitting posture. This feature complements the support provided by the backrest optimally.
All office chairs are equipped with a high-quality gas lift, allowing for a precise height adjustment of up to 11 cm. This enables flexible seat height adjustment to ensure ergonomic seating posture and maximum comfort. This feature is ideal for individuals with a height between 150 cm and 190 cm, providing comfortable adaptation for various work environments and needs.
Extended options for specific requirements
For individuals outside the standard height range, special gas lifts are available that allow for even higher or lower seat height. This ensures that even particularly short or tall users can sit ergonomically correct. Combined with other adjustment features, such as the synchro mechanism or adjustable armrests, the seat height adjustment ensures perfect integration into any work environment and optimal support for prolonged sitting.
The visco seat offers exceptional comfort through viscoelastic memory foam, making it ideal for extended sitting. Originally developed for space travel, the material precisely adapts to body contours and specifically reduces pressure on sensitive areas, particularly the sit bone, where many muscles and tendons converge.
This technology ensures even weight distribution and relieves pressure-sensitive spots, effectively preventing pain. With its firm padding, the visco seat combines ergonomic support and lasting seating comfort – the ideal solution for a relaxed sitting posture, even during long workdays.
The Löffler Plus office chair is specifically designed to effectively reduce discomfort during long periods of sitting—particularly in the thighs, buttocks, and lower back. The innovative pocket spring seat, inspired by high-quality mattresses, offers soft padding and targeted support for hours of pain-free comfort.
The micro pocket springs in the Med seat adapt optimally to the body, providing pinpoint elasticity, making it ideal even for especially sensitive users. At the same time, the sleek design allows for an elegant, graceful appearance that blends seamlessly into the work environment—without compromising on comfort.
The Löffler Plus Joy comfort seat with coccyx relief offers targeted pressure reduction in the sacrum and coccyx area. This design also ensures that the spine does not rest on the seat surface, providing additional comfort.

A cut-out in the rear seat area minimizes pressure on the sacrum and coccyx, ideal for acute discomfort. Additionally, it alleviates the spine, supporting the healing process. Ideal for individuals with acute coccyx issues.

Discreetly integrated into the seat foam, this variant is suitable for long-term use in cases of general pressure sensitivity. The comfort is maintained without visual prominence. Ideal for individuals who have general but no longer acute pressure sensitivity.
The arthrodesis chair provides targeted support for people with limited mobility in the hip and knee, such as during recovery from injuries or surgeries. Two independently adjustable seat halves allow for an individual tilt of up to 30°, relieving pressure points and promoting a healthy sitting posture.
The ergonomic contoured seat, stepless seat height adjustment, and seat depth damping ensure additional comfort. This combination of functionality and ergonomics supports the healing process and offers an optimal seating solution for special requirements.

The Löffler Plus swivel chair with an anti-decubitus seat is specifically designed for individuals at increased risk of pressure sores due to limited mobility, overweight, or use of a wheelchair.
The comfort seat is equipped with a Stimulite® honeycomb cushion, whose perforated design promotes air circulation and moisture evaporation. This effectively controls heat and moisture—two main factors in pressure sore prevention. The flexible surface reduces shear forces and friction, while the stable honeycomb core evenly distributes pressure and supports good blood circulation.
This breathable seating system offers optimal long-term comfort and protection. Covers made of leather, faux leather, or microfiber are not recommended to maintain the cushion’s effectiveness.
For all products purchased since January 1, 2015, we offer a 30-year warranty on mechanics and a 10-year warranty on fabrics—at no additional cost. This warranty underscores our confidence in the high quality and durability of our products.
The warranty is valid only upon presentation of the original invoice. Upholstery materials are excluded from the 30-year warranty because they are subject to a natural aging process and are considered separately. In the factory in Hersbruck, in the heart of Germany, seating furniture of the highest quality and sustainability is created on approximately 2,200 square meters. Around 40 experienced specialists from the Löffler team upholster, sew, and assemble each piece of furniture with precision and passion.
The materials used, such as foams, are free of CFCs and HCFCs, the plastics are pollutant-free, and the wood comes from sustainable European forestry. The high-quality leather is sourced only from German farms, with an emphasis on short transport routes and the highest standards.
This commitment to sustainability is also reflected in the recyclability of the furniture: up to 97% of the materials used can be recycled.
