The Peel recliner is based on a floating principle, where shifting body weight can determine the seating position. When you sit into the Peel, you activate the first part of the new spring concept (Pat. pend.). This spring concept allows reclining into the central position. This is likely the most frequently used position. Here, you rest perfectly – and without any muscle effort, you remain in a comfortable and relaxed position.

In this central position, you can move without tilting the chair forward or backward. If you actively shift your body weight forward or backward now, you activate the second part of the spring system. This coordination of both spring systems allows for smooth position transitions.
